Shane has been part of the business for more than 15 years. He joined Oxygen8 Group, Tola’s parent company in 2001 and oversaw development of 3 different divisions – corporate solutions, payment solutions and international mobile remittances, which has become Tola Mobile. He became CEO of Tola Mobile in 2015 and has overseen the business’ growth as one of the premier mobile payment intermediaries in Africa and an key partner in the European market.
Shay’s focus is on driving innovation and ensuring we’re proactive in meeting the needs of merchants, mobile network operators and consumers in developed and emerging markets. He has more than 20 years of industry experience, having previously worked for Telefonica, O2 and LogicaCMG.
Head of Product
Simon oversees the Tola platform, building on our integrations in Africa and Europe. Prior to joining Tola Mobile in 2016, Simon was Head of Product for Sysnet Global Solutions, which provides cloud-based, white-labelled solutions to 'Acquiring Banks' so merchants can undertake PCI DSS validation and certification commitments and improve their cyber-security provision. Simon has been managing software products' for the last 20 years with various different organizations including IONA Technologies PLC and ICL plc

Melanie is responsible for driving Tola’s marketing strategy for African and European markets. She has 15 years’ experience in business and consumer marketing. Prior to joining us in 2017, she was the Global Marketing Manager at ProLabs, a global B2B IT hardware company, and was responsible for strategy in Europe, America, Africa and Asia.
